Annual Boiler Service in Stockton

The Brief

A Stockton homeowner was overdue on their annual boiler service. They wanted the heat exchanger properly cleaned and the paperwork done in full to keep the manufacturer warranty valid for another year.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Case-off inspection: Removed the case, inspected the internals for wear, leaks or debris and photographed the state before work started.
• Burner and heat exchanger clean: Removed the burner, cleaned the heat exchanger thoroughly and cleared out combustion deposits that build up between services.
• Flue emissions test with calibrated analyser: Ran a full combustion analysis on the flue with a calibrated analyser and confirmed the readings sat inside manufacturer spec.
• Gas pressure and control checks: Tested the standing and working gas pressure, checked the safety controls and verified the thermostat and timer were operating correctly.
• Reassemble and full function test: Rebuilt the boiler, refilled and pressurised the system, then ran a full function test on heating and hot water.
• Written service report: Handed over a written service report, flagged the one wear item worth watching, and stamped the manufacturer service record.

The Result

The boiler is back to its designed efficiency, the warranty paperwork is stamped, and one small wear item has been flagged for replacement next service. The price for that part was quoted up front so there is no ambiguity when it comes due.
